Rosa Lee McInnis, 86 of Laurinburg departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Laurinburg. Interment will follow in the Hillside Memorial Park. Repast will be conducted at the Cardinal Hall of Purcell Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the home of Mrs. Rosa McInnis for visitation. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Rosa Lee McInnis, the daughter of the late Will and Cora Leach was born on August. 1, 1935, in Scotland County.
Rosa Lee McInnis was the mother of ten children.
Rosa Lee was a faithful member of the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board. She was employed as a housekeeper with Wallace Trucking Co. for many years until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed cooking for her family, attending to her flowers, watching, and listening to her favorite Christian broadcast. One of her favorite songs was “Never would have made it” by Pastor Marvin Sapp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Leonard McInnis Sr.; daughter, Katherine McInnis; and son, Willie McInnis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, five sons, Leonard McInnis Jr., Joseph McInnis of both Laurinburg, Leo McInnis (Liska) of Weeki Wachee, FL, Leroy McInnis Sr., and Tony McInnis both of Laurinburg, NC; three daughters, Rosa Collier (Walter) of Suitland, MD, Linda Bears (Larry) of Hamlet, NC, and Joyce Davidson of Orlando FL; daughters-in-law, Darleen McInnis, & Arletha McInnis; three brothers-in-law, Dan Floyd (Cally) of Greensboro NC, Welton McInnis, Thermon McInnis of Laurinburg; one sister-in-law, Cynthia McInnis of Laurinburg NC; 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
